Different colours for house style

Firstly I thought it would be a good idea to look at a colour wheel, I got this idea when looking at various colours in magazines. I found a colour wheel on the internet and was interested in the impact that use of colours can give.

Trying to keep my genre in mind I decided that the use of primary colours would be a unsuitable choice, I aimed for something more edgy (just like my genre).

I researched the colour wheel and the basic conclusion revealed;

For a harmonious colour scheme I should select adjacent colours.

For dramatic colour scheme I should choose colours oppersite.

My genre was defineitly more of a dramatic type, with a lasting impression. This is why I chose Purple and Green for my final product. I did trial other colours as shown below.

Here are the different colours I have trialed to see if I like them. I have decided the pink and the purple make the magazine more aimed at Women and then it doesn't appeal to men in the way I had hoped. Although looking at the green and purpley pink next to each other i think they would work well together as house style colours. I will trial this later on.

I have finally selected my 4 house style colours
Purple (nearly Pink)
Green
Black
White

My Green html colour chart code is: 780717
My Purple html chart code is: cc77f8

This is to ensure that front one document to another that the same shades of the colours are the same.
